The Possibilities are Endless with a 3D Pen

A couple of years ago, the big splash was the possibility to make 3D drawings from a personal computer, with a3D Printer. That was just a precursor of what was to come with the 3Doodler with its 3D pen possibilities.  A 3Doodler pen is the worlds first instrument that allows a person to create 3D drawings by extruding heated plastic, turning it into a continuous filament that cools, allowing the building of the 3D structures.  Think of it as a finely pointed glue stick gun, where the plastic comes out in a fine string that can be used to create three-dimensional images of just about anything one can think of.

The 3D pen possibilities are almost limitless. But the 3Doodler pens are not without their challenges, which one could expect with a new product that has been on the market for less than one year.

To see what the 3D pen possibilities are, which may be difficult to envision, have a look at the video available on this link to see what can be done with the3Doodler pen.

The 3Doodler pen comes with two options for the drawing medium. ABS is available, as well is, Plastic. Both have their advantages, which are described below:

ABS, and we will not worry about the technical name, suffice to suggest that ABS is sufficient, is a plastic that is low cost, and when heated and then cooled, forms a very strong and stiff material that is well suited for use in free-standing 3D drawing with the 3Doodle pen.

Following are the advantages of using ABS as the drawing medium:

The ABS plastic is suitable for drawing freestanding 3D pictures. For example, if you wanted to draw a standing tree, the ABS would be the better material for drawing the freestanding trunk. The ABS is best wherever drawings are required in a plane that is above the horizontal, to the vertical, either in straight form or a twisted or other shaped form.

The ABS plastic works best for drawing on paper outlines, for example, using a paper drawing to overlay the plastic, to be peeled off and constructed with other pieces into a 3D structure. An example that is commonly used is the tracing of the components of the Eiffel Tower from a paper plan, and then building the 3D model of the Eiffel Tower.

The Plastic used in the 3Doodler is a made of a biodegradable material that is less flexible and more brittle than ABS. It can be worked to a much finer detail than ABS, but is not well suited for making freestanding, greater than horizontal plane positioned pieces. The plastic has its advantages, the following:

The plastic can be used for making 3D structures, however, it is better utilized in these types of situations where the plastic is used to follow patterns, and where the pieces are then put together to form the 3D structure.

The 3Doodler, with its 3D pen possibilities, has opened up a whole new world for drawing, for artwork, for technical drawings and education. The 3D pen possibilities are almost endless, and just like other new products that hit the marketplace, they evolve, they get better and the price drops.

Just think of those first home printers that came out. They had few features, and they were pricey. Over time, the price dropped, they got better, and new features were added. We can expect the same with the 3Doodler pen, and we will see more and more 3D pen possibilities.

3D Printing Services Reviewed Do They Really Work?

Companies providing 3D printing technology promise to turn any idea from an action figure concept to a replacement organinto reality. Home devices that print in plastic are now readily available for less than $1,000. But you can get started for even less by ordering prints from companies that operate industrial-scale printing facilities and ship the finished product to your door. These services may also offer printing in more-exotic materials, including metals and ceramic.

Most 3D printing services let you choose from catalogs of products created by third-party designers, and will also let you upload your own digital design, typically in the .STL file format. You can create designs from scratch in modeling software such as the freeGoogle SketchUporAutodesk 123D, or download models from community repositories such as (operated by MakerBot).

To find out how good these services are, I tried four popular companies: Cubify (which also sells home printers), iMaterialize, Sculpteo and Shapeways. For each service, I printed two projects: I found a roughly similar iPhone 5 case from each services catalog, and I uploaded a popular Thingiverse design for a 2-inch-tallto each service.

I assessed each companys prices, ordering process, print options, customer support, delivery and quality. Heres a summary of what I found, with links to the full reviews.

With a streamlined process for uploading and ordering, a comprehensive range of available print materials and a mall-size market of third-party printables, Shapeways is a great launching pad for curious 3D printing noobs. Yet its also a solid option for aspiring makers of any skill level and ambition. This service offered the best overall quality, and when I did run into snags, customer service replied lightning fast.

iMaterialiseReviewPrint at iMaterialise

Belgium-based iMaterialise rivals Sculpteo for polish and ease-of-use, with a nice range of materials and finishes, excellent controls, an active and helpful forum, and a sophisticated selection of 3D-printable goods. The print quality of the owl model was excellent, though the iPhone case wasnt robust enough to merit the price.

MORE:Do 3D Scanning Apps Really Work?

This Paris-based printer offers a polished and consumer-friendly service, with smart controls for uploading and adjusting models, a nice selection of materials, plenty of information and speedy printing. Sculpteo was the cheapest of the four services, yet it still produced excellent, detailed prints of the owl model; the iPhone case was only fair quality, but still appropriately priced.

Cubify Cloud PrintingReviewPrint at Cubify

Despite a slick-looking site, Cubifys printing service will frustrate first-timers. The company has tweaked its system since I began testing, and Cubify told Toms Guide that many more improvements are in the works. The quality of the final prints was mixed, with one coming out well, while another was mediocre. Cubify was also the most expensive of the services for my two projects.

The 3D printing services offer a lot of the same materials, and they have roughly the same overall model of shopping for products or uploading files. Print quality varies a bit among the services. But the real differences become instantly apparent in the ordering process and in terms of customer service and support.

Shapeways was the overall standout, making a generally complex process simple enough for most novices. However, 3D printing services still feel like a hobbyists pursuit. When buying 3D-printed products, you often sacrifice quality for the novelty of getting a custom-printed piece that looks different from mass-market options. Printing your own designs is essentially a crafting process for those who want to get into the nitty-gritty and dont mind fiddling and troubleshooting.

Best 3D Printing Pen 2017 Buyers Guide

We have already entered into the 21st century, and 3D Pens are the new face of this world now. Using 3D Pens and drawing 3D objects do reflects your imagination and how far you go in this art. With the passage of each year, this technology is getting more advanced.

So, we are now in 2017, and it seems like we are going to see whole new best 3D printing pens produced this year. The good and bad news is that there are a lot of manufacturers in the 3D Printing Pens right now. This makes it useful for users as we get to choose from a large number of pens and make the best choice. In this race, manufacturing companies do try to attract customers towards them by putting new unique features in 3D pens. But on the other hand, choosing best fitting pen from such a large number of pens makes it much more difficult for us.

But dont get confused in such a scenario, make the best choice and choose then best 3D printing pen which suits you best. For example, an average cheap 3D printing pen will not get the job done for professionals. If you a professional and want to get it done beautifully, a high-end product is much required here. On the other hand, some people may be looking for good looking printing pen, like Kids. The color, the design is the things which work for children. While for an artist, a good quality pen with good workflow will work.

We have included the 3D pens in this list suits for every age group, kid, newcomer or even professionals. So, if you are a parent and want to give some activity work to your child, this list is going to be your best choice for best 3D pens. Also, a newcomer wants to learn 3D art, choose any pen from the list, and you wont regret ever. A professional will require a 3D pen which can give a new life to his art. So, choose the one from the list starts making 3D designs.

So, after researching a lot on a lot of 3D Pens, we have finally compiled the best list of 3D Printing Pen which you can find below and choose the best 3D Pen for you. We have attached important details too so that you can make a wise decision according to your needs.

So without further ado, lets take a look at the list of best 3d pens 2017.

So, analyzed the list given? We are now going to provide you individual reviews for each of the Pen suggested above in the details below.

Scribbler V3 3D Printing Pen is first on our list, and there is a reason behind it. The pen is extremely light in weight and is available in different colors.

As the name of Scribbler V3 suggest itself that V1 and V2 have already been released and they might have been so successful as to why manufacturers decide to go for V3. Isnt it? Yes, the pen has been in the market for quite a long time now. The pen has got fantastic build quality and perfect ergonomics, so its fun to use it.

If you are looking a 3D pen for you child or if you are a newcomer, Scribbler V3 might be your choice according to us. You know kids love playing with colors, and hence, Scribbler V3 3D Pen is available in 8 different colors. You can use different colors of filaments to work accordingly.

When we ordered it and used, we indeed found out that the pen is extremely light weight and easy to use. You dont need to worry about changing it filament either, the filament is easily changeable even by kids but take care ;).

On our testing, to be honest, we have to find any downside in Scribbler V3 3D Pen. You can draw and create different 3D designs with a lot of flying colors. The only thing one need to keep in mind as a starter, start slow. I know you are used to those traditional pens and pencils, so work slowly in the beginning and become professional.

Scribbler V3 Pen is the perfect choice with near zero downsides. Thats all.

The next 3D pen on the list is this 7TECH 3D Printing Pen. This pen has got so many features that it fits for both newcomers as well as professionals. The pen is solely designed keeping one thing in mind, user-friendly nature. The pen is easy to use, and unlike other pens, it works in incredibly silent operating mode. The pen has got so many advanced features that we had to put it on the 2 on the list. Lets see what some of those features are:-

The 7TECH 3D Printing Pen has one of the best thermal control over it. Moreover, if your filament is not operating well and getting stuck in pen, then the pen will notify this to you. Many pens operate on themselves, and you cant control the speed of the extrusion, but 7TECH Pen stands opposite to this. You can control the speed of extrusion, whether to go super-fast or super-slow.

During testing, we found two downsides of it. The lack of supplied filaments with it and temperature of the pen in operational mode. Keep in mind that while you are operating the pen, the temperature of the pen can go incredibly high and can cause damage to your fingers and skin. Thats the main reason why we dont recommend it to children as they can damage the fingers. But, this problem is found in every 3D pen for now, more or less. We know that we dont have fully qualified 3D pens yet.

As a conclusion, 7TECH 3D Printing Pen is one of the best 3D printing Pen so far in the market. On our research, we found a lot of satisfied customers of 7TECH 3D Printing Pen. Go for it.

A 3D pen is a bulkier version of an ordinary pen or pencil which you have used in your school days. These 3D pens operate on the plastic instead of using traditional lead or ink in those pens or pencils. Yeah, 3D pens do work on plastic. 😀

So, as a newbie in 3D pens, a lot of questions are rolling in your head right now, right? Yeah, they should. Even if 3D pen uses the plastic filament to work, using a 3D pen is a no different job at all. You have to hold the 3D pen just like the way you use your traditional pen or pencil and do your work.

So, before we begin exploring the best 3D pens, lets see how a 3D pen works and operates.

A 3D pen works on melted plastic instead of lead or ink. You insert the plastic filament at one side of the pen, it goes through some process inside the 3D pen and comes out as a melted liquid. The pen has got some heating technology inside it, so the hard plastic filament is given high temperature so as a result, it gets converted into liquid using which you can then use any surface to write or draw everything you want. You have got a lot of plastic filaments of different colors, so it does depend upon your creativity to make your art attractive enough to impress enough.

The 3D pen is based on the idea of glue guns which uses glue to work. So, now if you are wondering what can you do with these 3D pens then friend, go on youtube and see what peoples have done already before you. 😛 The possibilities of creation and imagination is limitless. Remember drawing anything on your notebook; it is a 2D structure which includes only length and width. But with the introduction of the 3D pen, you can give your creations a strong push and make it look like a real object. 3D stands for 3-dimenstional, length, width and height. A real world object for you.

Moreover, since these 3D pens are available in different and attractive designs, you will fall in love with 3D pens. The plastic filaments come in a hell lot of color range, order from here. So, you can design actual and 3D objects. One more thing, the market is already filled with a variety of featured 3D pens from different trusted manufacturers, so go on Amazon and make the best choice for you. If you are finding it hard to choose the best one, be sure, we are going to tell you the best 3D printing pen here.

When Charles Hull came up with the first 3D printing pen machine in 1986 which got him a place in the inventors hall of fame people was simply amazed at by this new 3D technology. From that time, people started to have all sorts of ideas of what else could possibly be invented from the technology but to think for even one second that an actual 3D printing pen would be invented was way out above the radar. A 3D painting pen, believe it or not, is alre
ady here and you can now be able to transform all you imaginations to actual 3D images that stand out of paper rather than having them as just flat art on paper or models in you computer.

A 3D printing pen is a 3D printing machine just like the computer guided 3D printing machines the only difference, however, is that the pen is held and guided by hand. This gives you the privilege to draw whatever it is that you are thinking into 3D.The pen uses the same technology as the computer-guided 3D printing pen machine. Then pen is able to make 3D images by heating a filament made of plastic to melting point and then forcing it out through an extrusion tip. Its working is similar to the working of a hot glue gun and since the plastic is very soft it can be easily made into any shape as you so desire or even fused onto paper or a surface. The plastic starts the cooling process immediately after being extruded and takes only a few seconds before it hardens and retain the shape you made it into when drawing.

The pen can be used to do quite a number of things which include:

1. Enable you to draw with plastic.

Can be used in repairing other objects that are been 3D printed.

Can be used to mold plastic into any shape or apply it to almost any surface or add decorations to other objects.

With continued practice, you can be able to draw in empty space.

Which are the Best 3d Printing Pens on the market?

You are now probably really impressed with the 3D printing pen and you cant wait to get your hands on you first pen. You, however, have to be aware that there are a lot of 3D pens out there today but just which ones are the Best 3d Printing Pens on for you? Considering the fact is that when companies realized the potential of the new product many companies flooded the market with their 3D printing pens.

It is, therefore, important that you go only for the best. Most of these pens are probably good but you need the one that works best for you. The following are considerations you should take into account when buying your 3D Pen to ensure the pen you are buying best meets your requirements.

Choosing the type of pen with a filament that is easily found is very important. You may well complete a project with the filament the pen comes with initially but what will happen when you need the pen for the next project. There are various filaments in the market today but choose the pen whose filament is the most available in the market.

As you are aware due to the potential of this product several companies have come up with their own pen and each one of them claims that their product is the best. However, only a few of them have actually been proven to have the required quality as well as convenience when printing. It is therefore in your best interest to find out the technologies behind the manufacture of each brand and model before just rushing to buy the product.

Thank God for the internet if you cant really tell the difference between technologies behind the manufacture of the product, then reading internet reviews can be helpful. When customers have tried out a product they will give reviews based on their level of satisfaction. This will enable you to tell the best from the poor quality ones. When doing this, however, you should be careful to check reviews from various websites since some websites could be affiliate sites meant to promote that product.

3D printing is a hot topic. These Web sites handle everything from online 3D printing services to consumer and professional printers.

You can upload designs in formats such as STL, X3D, and OBJ, and the company prints and ships you the objects. Users can even upload black and white JPEGs and turn them into 3D models for printing. The site has plenty of tutorials, including Creating designs with moving parts, How to use MeshLab & Netfabb for fixing your model, Fixing nonmanifold models, and How to use Sketch Up with STL files for Shapeways. Users can print items such as jewelry, figurines of themselves, and 3D objects out of photos. Materials include sterling silver, ceramics, alumide, and acrylic-based polymer.

The site contains many useful links related to 3D printing, hobby printers, 3D print services, crowdsourcing, and Web-based tools. It also includes a blog that covers personal manufacturing and 3D printing. The site showcases some of the latest and greatest in consumer and commercial 3D printers. For example, the consumer printer Cube from builds objects from colorful ABS-like filaments. The site also features a Design of the Week, such as Accommo, a recent top-ten finisher in the 2012 Extreme Redesign 3D Printing Challenge by Dimension/Stratasys.

This site sells out-of-the-box 3D printers that start at about $500. According to the site, the new, larger Solidoodle 3 features an 8 8 8-in. build area. The printer was designed by aerospace engineers to be strong and precise. The all-steel frame is said to be so strong that a 200-lb person can stand on top of the machine while its printing and not disrupt its operation. The moving parts were designed so they will move smoothly and not bind. The ABS materials come in rolls of natural, black, red, and blue filament.

[emailprotected]means Fabber at Home. Fabber is short for a fabrication device. Fabber printers are thought of as miniature factories that create custom objects. The machines can print such things as miniature models of space shuttles as well as functional flashlights and batteries. The goal of the[emailprotected]project is to democratize innovation by giving almost anyone the capability to physically create their ideas. The site includes a community blog, technical documentation, and a listing of live events.

This MakerBot Web site lets users get and share what it calls downloadable 3D Things. MakerBot ( sells consumer desktop 3D printers called Replicators. Most Things can be made using a Replicator. Available designs include math art in the form of a twisty vase, a fan duct, a parametric coat hanger, and a glass plate bracket. Handy tutorials inform readers how to create 3D text in Blender software, use CSG toolsets, and build basic shapes using Boolean operations and translations.

This company offers a broad range of 3D printers for consumers and businesses, so the sites Select Options tool comes in handy. Users can select a product by application (prototyping, casting, dental) or price. Clicking prototyping, for example, brings up a choice among personal 3D printer, professional 3D printer, or production 3D printer. Clicking professional brings up the available build sizes. A Picture and Video section on the site showcases printed parts from each machine. A free seminar section hosts discussions on how to be smart with 3D printing. The site also provides 3D printing services.

The site is all about a project to create an open-source self-copying 3D printer. RepRap is a desktop 3D printer that can print plastic objects. The twist is because many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and RepRap prints those parts, RepRap essentially self-replicates by making a kit of itself that almost anyone can assemble. A useful page explains how to assemble the various kits and another helpful page defines basic 3D printing terms. A blogs of blogs section brings all the RepRap-related RSS feeds into one place.

Are there 3D printing websites similar to

Are there 3D printing websites similar to ?

There are numerous sites like Thingiverse out there, but none have yet reached the popularity of Thingiverse. In relation to the 3D printing side of things, Ill try to lay out a few of the top options I recommend. Full disclosure, I am the CEO of 3DaGoGo, Inc.

In discussing these other sites, Ill discuss how their value propositions differ from Thingiverse. Most sites that have tried to be exactly like Thingiverse have bombed because they have not added new value to the community. Sites that have tried to add something new have been able to stick around…

Before getting into it, Id like to list a few of the top reasons that someone is usually looking for a Thingiverse alternative site. If you have other reasons to add, please list them!

Many of the designs are unprintable.

Many of the designs have never been tested/printed.

Issues with the IP strategies of Thingiverse/MakerBot. You can read more about this concept here:

MakerBot Responds To Critics Who Claim It Is Stealing Community IP TechCrunch

Many complex designs do not have enough instructions for beginners.

Well start with my favorite (again… Im the CEO/founder… slightly biased.)

3DaGoGo differs from Thingiverse in that it allows designers to charge for their designs if they so desire. Some designers give their designs away for free, just like thingiverse, others charge anywhere from $1 to $10 for a personal use license and up to a few hundred dollars for a commercial use license. Think of this as being like iStockphoto, but for 3D printing.

Secondly, 3DaGoGo allows only Proven To Print designs on the site. This means that all designs have been vetted to work on a 3D printer. This doesnt guarantee you will always get successful prints, but this does give you the confidence that the design is indeed printable. As much as 70% of the designs on Thingiverse will fail on a desktop 3D printer. This happens because Thingiverse is a fully open community that allows anyone to upload designs. There is no vetting process. 3DaGoGo vets the designs.

3DaGoGo gives 70% of each sale to the designer and uses the other 30% for site administration.

Above: 3DaGoGo storefront screenshot showing Best Sellers and Most Downloaded.

Personally, I think of 3DLT as the Red Envelope of 3D printing designs. Unlike Thingiverse and 3DaGoGo, 3DLT appears to be highly curated. Designers can sign up and submit their designs, but the admin of 3DLT appears to only let in designs they feel meet a certain quality level. Interestingly enough, all designs are shown with rendered images only, almost never with a pic of the printed object.

3DLT has recently begun to offer a print on demand service. This lets shoppers buy the physical product instead of the design itself. They have it printed for you and sent to your door.

For each design sold, the designer receives 50% of the sale. For each physical product bought, the designer receives $1.

Above: 3DLT screenshot of a featured item in their store. 3DLT maintains a very clean and structured look/feel for all their designs.

Ponoko allows designers to sell designs and get 100% of what is paid for the design! Hopefully they keep that up for a long time, but someday that may change. Unfortunately, it is fairly difficult on Ponokos site to separate out 3d printable designs from other designs.

Ponoko allows you to download product plans (they do not call them designs.) These plans could be for 3D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, etc. Basically, they could be plans that involve any type of making.

What Ponoko does primarily, as a company, is to make these things for you. If you see plans that look cool, you can just have Ponoko make it and send it to you… Pretty nifty.

Obviously, this differs greatly from Thingiverses value proposition in that they can do product fulfillment for almost anything you want to create.

So, Im focusing on the 3D printing side of things in the above answer. There are numerous other design repositories that are more focused on engineering and architectural designs, such as,,, and more. Even though some of their designs can be 3D printed, that is not the main use-case for people downloading designs from these sites. Their designs are mostly downloaded by engineers and architects that need quick designs to put into something they are building. For example, an architect wants to add chairs to a 3D model of a home, he can buy some chair designs from these sites and put them in his model. This does not mean those designs are printable, and most often they are not (i.e. mesh problems, support structure related issues, etc.)

It is highly unlikely the above chairs would 3D print on a consumer grade 3D printer…

I hope this helps. Ill happily add in more. Let me know if there are specific sites you would like discussed.

Is this answer still relevant and up to date?

This is particularly important because it is often difficult to find out if an object prints. The STL files usually often require to be edited and digitally processed before they can actually be printed. But in myminifactory this is done for all uploaded objects. This website is growing rapidly and now has turned into is the largest curated printing website. Even without the curation it is the sec
ond largest 3d printing website (after thingiverse).

7 Sites for Free 3D Models

I found 7 sites that have really awesome and 100% free 3D models. Make sure to only search for .obj, .3ds or Cinema files since some models only come in Maya or Max formats. Also make sure to check the copyright info to make sure youre good to go on all of these.

This is the premiere place to find 3D models. They have a huge paid section, but if you simply type free into the search, it will come up with hundreds of awesome free models.

This has quite the collection, with a little bit of everything from cars and trees to furniture and interior models.

A great resource with tons of characters and cars.

This site has amazing vehicles, anything from WWII tanks to modern race cars. A lot of them come in .lwo format which is Lightwave, but they open great in C4D.

A little resource but a nice range of high quality models.

A little bit spammy, but if you can get to the models they looks great. They have cars, furniture and technology among others.

This is pretty funny, NASA actually has a model library of everything space, from models of astronauts to lunar modules to shuttles. Some arent the most detailed, but if you need some space objects, this is a great place to check out.

If you guys have any other free 3D model resources you recommend, please put them in the comments, I would love to know about them. Thanks!

Just came across your site, and I like it very much. Already got good info about c4d random colours and using a slider with wiggle(thanks so much for that).

Hey Robert, thanks for your comment. Glad to hear youre getting useful information from the site! The titles of the posts were links, but maybe there was a compatibility issue. I added another link at the end of the comments for each post. Hopefully that works for you! Thanks for checking out the site, make sure to keep checking back, I have lots of great content coming up! Cheers, Joren

ah ha. Those last links work great thanks again.

Hey, you can find a lot of free models on this site :

Tose are mainly architecture and furniture models but you also can find, cars, people and some other cool stuff. Most of the models are pretty detailed.

Awesome, thanks for sharing the link, Ill check it out!

One word of caution of Turbosquid. Their QA is horrid, and while you wont find me complaining of free models their pay for use models are less than satisfactory a good portion of the time.

Not only are the models geometry at times subpar, but packages can be missing textures and other files. On top of all that, Ive never seen TS return a support request to address the situation.

A massive amount of free models (including Greebles and Nurnies), several of very high quality can be found here:

Great list, i want suggest my favorite website provide free 3d model : you enjoy !

I really like your list of free 3d models, well done. 🙂 Just would like your opinion on a new game asset site on the block called propsplanet. Because with the help of 3d pen you are going to amaze people around you.You can enhance your creativity to a new this article, I am going to show thebest list of the 3d pen in 2018.

So how to find a best among 100s of 3d pens?

Still wondering about which 3d pens to buy?

Well, dont worry!! You have landed on the right page.

I bet you it is going to bethe best buyers guideon the internet.

It can be a very hectic process for you to find the best 3d pen if you are not much experienced with it.

So, I have brought down a great list ofbest 10 3d penswhich clearly stands out from the others in the market. I will tell each 3d pen first with a short intro and then tell about theirfeatures. It will not only give you a better idea about these modern pens but also present you a better view of buying the product. These are thebest-tested reviews for 3d pens in 2018.

Below I have mentioned all the pens which I am going to review in this article. If you want to buy directly then just click on the check price link.>

Our first choice for this list is Scribbler V3. It is a renovated version of its ancestor Scribbler Pen series. This pen claims to be the worlds first 3d pen. Till now 3 version of scribbler has already come. It has actually made a significant buzz in the market because of its quality. Apart from providing an excellent service quality, it has an impressivehardware build design. You will certainly in love with its design and quality. It provides an easy way of making 3d objects.

Scribbler 3d pencomes with various color options to choose from. You can also usefilamentsof different colors with this 3d pen. The available colors areBlue,Purple,Red,Green, White(Umm. How do I suppose to show you that!!text background is white off course) andYellow. So not only the quality it also provides you various color options to enhance your artistic skills.

Now I would like to talk about the test which we performed for Scribbler V3.

TESTINGTesting revealed that it is very feather-weight. One can easily operate pen. You also dont need to worry about changing thefilament. Its designer team has designed it in a way that even a newbie person can use and operate it without much hustle.

See, how you can be awesome with theScribbler Pen?

Being the first 3d pen of the world,Scribblerhas really enhanced its quality over the years. During our test, we did not find any much concern issue. It passed out all the test that we performed on it.

Okay!! I will be more honest with you. If you are a person who loves to draw in the traditional way then it will take time for you to adjust to the environment. This is not a particular issue because all 3d pens come with a learning curve.

Rest I can assure you, this is going to be one of the best 3d pens you will ever buy.

An unbelievable weight of just 2.6oz.

Highly responsive and easy to use on any surface.

It will give status of the device with OLED screen. That makes it highly user friendly device.

As I told you earlier it might feel cumbersome and somewhat inconvenient to the traditional artists.

So as of now, we have already discussed worlds smallest 3d pen, worlds best 3d printing pen for kids and many other.

Will this best 3d pens list going to end like this only??

Here comes a unique 3d printing pen, which is nowhere similar to the above in many aspects.

Most of the 3d printing pen suffer from the heating problem because they need to melt the plastic to keep going.

What will happen if there is no need to heat up the plastic??

There will not be any heating issue with a 3d printing pen whatsoever.

CreoPop 3d cordless printing penis based on the same philosophy. It doesnt require heating up the plastic for working.

So what will happen if there is no heating issue with the pen?

Also, this will open thousands of other possibilities.

Now I will take you through the concept that CreoPop 3d printing pen uses for work.

It uses Photopolymers. This is a special type of ink and gets liquefying as soon as it is exposed to LED diodes.

So I can see there will be another benefit as well by this pen. You can give this 3d printing pen to any kid without worrying about any heating problems.

TESTINGIn our testingCreoPop 3d penmanages to pass all the test without any hassle. We were a bit of hesitating towards this product because of its different type of ink.

But it doesnt come in the way of performance.

We didnt find any downside to this product. If you want to have a stylish 3d pen by which you can work for longer hours then CreoPop is your choice to go.

However, I would like to have your attention on this that the ink needed for this is supplied by only a single company. So you have to order your ink before you end up with your current ink.

It is another big unique thing is the 3d printing pen world. Go for it.

We can also use scented inks to create arts that give pleasing scent.

We have noticed that object created by it, gives much realistic effect for a longer time.

As mentioned, the ink needed for this company is provided by a single company only.

3Doodler is the next 3d printing pen on our list.

Would you believe me if I tell you that this comes with 50 filament?

This is the biggest number of filament we received for any unit. Not only with the quantity, but also is able to amaze us with its high-quality look. I want you to clear the misconception if you are having about 3Doodler 3d pen, that it is nowhere similar to the 3Doodler3d printer.3doodler 3d penis also suited for adults.

As we know 3Doodler is the first 3d printer in the world. But here we are talking about 3Doodler 3d printing pen only.

If I talk about its design then it is similar to the quality of big giant lix pen which I have already reviewed earlier in this post.

I was just shocked when I found 50 plasticfilamentwith it.

I double checked whether I got it mistakenly or not.

To my surprise, it was not by mistake. It indeed comes with 50 plastic filaments.

The quality of these filaments is also of top notch. They certainly complement this top 3d pen. They are quite easy to replace and the filament doesnt get clogged easily. Before this post if you were wondering about what is the best 3d pen, then this is your answer. Although price is comparatively more than others but quality always comes with a price.

TESTINGDuring our testing, we found that 3Doodler pass all the tests with quite ease. We tried to work with this pen on different surfaces and found quite successful results. If you are a newbie with these pens then it may take some time for you to get experienced with this 3d pen.

If you have read about 3d pens before then you must have heard about 3doodler vs scribbler & 3Doodler vs Creopop. Well, we think all are great pens. It totally depends on the persons need. 3doodler is good in many aspects, we can say but others are not behind.

However, if you are a veteran artist and have a handful of experience then it should not be a big deal for you.

To be honest, we at mybestreviewss did not find any significant downside of this product.

A unique innovative hardware design.

It comes with 50 plastic filaments. This is the highest number of fila
ment we have received with any unit.

It will not require any big knowledge for setting this product.

If you are a newbie then it will take some time for you.

Slightly heavy in comparison to others.

Now we have come to our 4th on the 3d pen comparison list. Earlier I have reviewed about 3Doodler version 1.0. Now, this is a successor of that.

This version of3Doodlerhas made some significant improvement over the previous version. The look has been redesigned and looks quite sophisticated.

This version also comes with 50 plastic filaments. Thats really great things by the company for its customers.

However, you canbuy filamentanytime if you want.In the 50 plastic filaments, you will find 25 of type ABS plastic and remaining 25 are of type PLA.

Here is an introductory official video about 3Doodler

Now lets talk about the testing part this unit. This 3d pen outrank all the record set by its predecessor 3Doodler. It remarkably clear all the test that we performed. We didnt experience any issue of clogging or too much heating with it.3Doodler 2.0is really a great enhancement over the previous version. From the look to performance, 3Doodler team has taken care of everything.

If you are looking for a stylish and highly useful 3d printing pen then this is your top choice.

Very easy to use i.e. user-friendly.

Hardware design has been largely improved.

50 filament are definitely one of the great treat to buy.

We are not satisfied with the tip of this 3d printing pen.

Although in our testing we didnt find any noteworthy defection, but my friends were having some issue with this pen.

7 TECH 3D printing pen is another big name in this industry. Seeing the heavier and bulkier nature of 3d pens here and there, the 7TECH team came with the concept of user-friendly and easy to use the 3d pen. It works in the silent mode and doesnt create any kind of noise while working. This also comes with a number of advanced features that makes it stand out from the other  Lets dig more info about this.

If you are 3d pen users then obviously you would like to work for longer to make perfect objects. Many of its competent pens lack in this sector.

The 7tech pencomes with the best thermal control. Another advanced feature is that it can also notify you if there is any stoppage problem in the filament with itsLED.

If yes then its fine otherwise here is another excellent feature.

Suppose if you are a newbie to this technology. So in most of the cases, you will have comparatively slow drawing speed than the old fellows. So you will find it hard to draw the object in the beginning. So here what can you do, just try to make a hold on its operating speed for drawing?

It will not only give you better control over drawing 3d objects but also give you better control over the filament consumption.

Now I would stop praising it and shift your focus onto pitfalls of this 3-dimensional pen.

TESTINGAs I told you earlier, it has extrusion control mechanism. It is fine if you are working on moderate speed, but high-speed mode can sometimes have bad experiences. The operating temperature is directly proportional to melting rate of the filament.

When you are in the high-speed mode, then you will obviously need filament at a very faster speed. It sometimes can raise operating temperature to high. You should take care of your skin while working in a high-speed mode.

Now another thing is that this pen doesnt come with enoughfilament. But apparently, you can buy it from the store easily. I think this should not be a big problem for you.

Overall7 TECH 3D Printing Penis one of the awesome pen available. Although this pen has downside extrusion control feature which someway overcomes its pitfall. Moreover, it depends on person to person, what they want.

I would go for 7 TECH 3D if I am somewhat familiar with the technology.

Here is the quick snapshot of all pros & cons, I just discussed with you.

This pen is equally good for both experienced and the newbie artists.

It is the device which you can comfortably hold without any hiccups.

It has an advanced unclogging system. This is a feature which can stop filament to clog down after cooling down.

It has aluminum cover to protect your finger from the heated nozzle.

This comes with full 1 year warranty. So you can obviously can give at least a try to it.

In some extreme cases its operating temperature can go beyond bearable temperature.

It will take some time for you to get used to this pen.

Here comes another big giant from the 3d printing world. The Ccbetter intelligent pen is the same 3d pen which is also known as a JoyLuxy intelligent 3-D pen. This intelligent pen is one of the best in the industry. Great thing is that we were fortunate enough to get a review unit. This has all the features that an awesome 3D pen should have.

Okay. Now lets have a look at the CCbetter Intelligent 3D pen from Joyluxy.

When you open the packed sleek box of CCbetter, then you will find that it is similar in size to your smartphone. Inside the box, I can see a power brick for power supply. Other then the power brick there are two suppliedPLA filaments.

You can buy one another time when you need. In our received box Joyluxy was kind enough to include a stand so that I can put it there whenever it is not in use. One thing you will notice that it is equally good for the newbie as well as the veteran artists.

TESTINGIn our testing CCbetter performed quite remarkably.

We try to use it on the different surface which can be sensitive to 3d pen performance.

To our surprise, it performed quite well in all the tests and gave brilliant results.

There is status OLED status indicator which tells you the status of the filament. With OLED, you can quickly know when its filament is good heated and ready. It is a really good feature because we dont have to shoot the arrow in the dark.

Now lets have a look at the other side of the coin.

In our testing, we felt that this 3d pen needs some instruction before use. Soour team did a good research before using it. So I would like Joyluxy to have more instruction inside the packed box.

I hesitate to say the downside of Joyluxy because it is actually not the one. If I talk about performance then it surpassed all the target we have set for it, in every test.

If you are a person who is looking for great quality at an affordable price then this is the must have a 3d pen for you.

Its elegant design a certainly a great please for everybody eyes.

In our opinion, this is the most stylish pen currently available in the market.

The pen holder is an added advantage. You will not see this option with most of the other pens.

It takes less technical knowledge to fix it up this pen in case of any tangible problem.

The 5th pen in our list is the Lay3r 3d pen. I and my team were having really tough time to agree on the point that whether we should test Lay3r or not. Only 2 members of our team were keen on testing this item. Finally, they were able to convince us.

And I thought there is no much harm in giving it a try.

When we tested Lay3r,we were all shell shocked!!!

It reminds us of an old saying that says.

Now I can only say this:::This is a fantasticproduct.

Okay. Now I will no longer want you all to keep in a surprise. Lets dig more details about this amazing (really!!!) product.

It is different from the other product which we have reviewed in this series. It is oddly large.

Dont just walk away from this product because so were we. Opposed to its big size, it is magnificent in handling and not heavy as it seems. You can easily use the Lay3r 3d pen without any hassle.

Now here comes a unique advantage over most of the 3d pens available in the market. This is the main reason why I was ready to include the La
y3r 3d pen in this post. This is thebest 3d pen for kids in the market currently.

This 3d pen is suitable for people of all ages.

You can be a new coming artist or a veteran artist. It doesnt matter. The handling of this 3d pen is so easy that anyone can easily handle this 3d pen. You dont require special skill to handle (Now you will agree with me).

TESTINGIt has an inbuilt fan which keeps Lay3r 3d pen cool from heating. So you can operate it easily even after working for a longer time. Okay, this is the last one. Kindly bear with me. It is really worth to know about it.

YOU WILL directly buy it after knowing this feature.

The lay3r 3d pen comes withautomatic shutdown feature. If you are not working then it will shut down itself. This is a really phenomenal feature which really strikes us to review it.

If I talk about the less good side of this then I can only say that, it is slightly bulkier in look than other. But again because it has an inbuilt fan in it, I can understand and take slightly big size.

Overall Lay3r is one of the best in demand 3d pen available in the market. It is worth of every penny.

Highly user-friendly and Easy to use

It comes with one year full warranty

Although inbuilt fan is a nice innovative feature but it also slightly increases its size.

Genesis 3d printing pen is another great name in the industry. The same company Lasso Labs that made Genesis is also popular for making great3d printers. Now Lasso labs have launched its first ever 3d pen named as Genesis.

So lets see how it stands out from the crowd.

Genesis 3D pen has a great designwhich is really eyeing pleasing. It doesnt have a tag like the smallest 3d pen as Lix 3D printing pen have but in terms of providing quality, it is not a single penny behind. Genesis 3d pen has different color options to choose from. We got our hands on its black unit.

TESTINGDuring our test Genesis 3D pen managed to perform outstandingly in all the tests we performed in it. It also passed the test for smoothness, filamentstuck situation (which we did not experience any.), and heating test.

One thing is quite noticeable about this is that it doesnt get high temperature rapidly. This is the sector where most of the 3d pens fail to deliver good performance. But this is not the case with Genesis. It comes with the 5 filaments with the box itself.

However, if things got to end up then you can always purchase the separate filament separately.

Genesis 3d pen is highly user-friendly. You dont require much knowledge of using it.

We werent able to find any pitfalls in this 3 dimensional object drawing pen.

This is one of the 3d pen which is able to perform above average in most of our tests. It has really impressed with its great performance.

Highly User friendly. Anybody can use it without needing much knowledge.

It can use various type of plastic as the filament.

It comes with warranty options. However, we were unable to find the exact period for it.

Light weight makes it more deserving candidate.

It can also get too much heated if used for too much long time.

It is best suitable for small level projects.

Next in the series is Glyby Intelligent 3d printing pen.

It is considered to be one of the best 3d printing pen available in the market.

Regarding look, I would not say that it is as pleasant as Lix previously discussed, but when it comes to performing the task it intends to do, then there is no look behind.

It gave a remarkable well performance in every test we performed.

ThisGlybyintelligent 3d printing pen worlds cheapest 3d printing pen.

TESTINGDont think that if it comes with low price then it cannot give good performance. We tested it on every possible surface. It is especially recommended for kids.

So to be honest, if you are looking for a professional project then you should buy another pen apart from this one. Glyby is not certainly a 3d magic pen for professionals. This pen is good for kids only. Glyby has kept many things in mind while designing it for the kids.

However, I would still recommend parent provision for children.

It is really a great 3d printing pen designed for kids. At its price, you cannot complain of more. It has all the features to keep the children busy for a long time. This 3d printing pen will help your kid to develop their creative mind and will open new horizon.

So, at the end I would like to say, if you are looking to buy 3d pens for your kids then this you should definitely opt for this.

Hardware quality is also good seeing the price.

Lix 3d smart pen took the whole world by a storm when it announced the worlds smallest 3d pen ever made. Not only artists but also critics have a high praise for its quality and easiness to use. Lix marketed its product throughKickstarter campaignand raised more than 731,690. Initially, it was not available for consumers to buy but now it is available to purchase. You can order it now.

We atMyBestReviewsstried to have one Lix 3d pen recently for its review. We are glad that company accepted our request for a review unit of Lix.

Or maybe seeing our dedicated review team.

You never know, Nevertheless cheers for it to the Lix.

Okay!!Now let me get you a feel ofit.It is also known as a manual micro 3d printer pen.

TESTINGAs I told you above, Lix 3D pen is worlds smallest 3d pen. Now coming to our testing, we didnt find any issue with the pen. It has passed all the tests we performed with flying colors. Our 3d pen tests include using it in a dark environment, using it in completely pin drop silent environment and many other.

Pin drop silent environment testing is very much useful.

Because many of the 3d pens available in the market get fail in this test. It has really surprised us by going through every test we performed, successfully. It worked like a charm on all the surfaces, we tested.

I would also like to have your attention on its hardware design.I must say, it is one of the best 3d pen design ever made in thehistory. Thanks to the designer team of lix.

There is a big difference in the lix and most of the other 3d pen available in the market. Unlike the other 3d pensit comes with an option to charge via a USB cable. Most of the 3d pens need power through a power brick. This power brick takes electricity from an outlet. But if you go for Lix, you dont have to plug into outlet every time.

You can even use a Power Bank to charge it. That makes it usable even if you are out of electricity.

You dont need to train yourself to use Lix 3d pen.

Everything is so user-friendly that from the first day itself you will fall in love with it.

It will take a couple of minutes to heat up. There are LED lights on it which tell you when its got the full temperature. Then you can insert the plastic material or thinfilamentin the back end.

The tiny hole for inserting thin filament is located next to the power port. So, I guess you will not have any difficulty finding in that.

Should I talk about cons of lix now?

During our testing, we didnt find any flaws in it. Bottom-up to Lix  😛

However some people have recently complained about lix pen jammed, so make sure to check everything before buying. But I would say, lix pen can give you a real shape to your 3d printing pen ideas.

Very light in weight and User-friendly

Ability to heat up and cool down is absolutely great. You dont need to wait more than a couple of minutes to heat it up.

We were not able to find anything to write in this section.

Now you are familiar with the top 3d printing pen of the world.

In this buyers guide section, I will introduce you to the functioning and some other applications of these pens.

Before that let me give you a short description ofwhat actually a 3d pen technology is?

Also How you can make the 3d object with a pen?

A 3d pen is simi
lar in look with a regular pen or pencil. However,it uses plasticrather than using customary lead or ink.

I think so, but thats how a 3d pen works for drawing 3d objects.

Now if you are hearing this for the first time then you might be wonderingwhether it would be too difficult to use a 3d pen? (I was also: P)

You can use these pens with a lot of ease. There is not much of rocket science behind this.

Of course, you need to hold it just like a traditional pen or pencil you do, and thats all.

Because the 3d pen is all about creativity and making application withit.

These pens are useful to you in thousands of ways.

First,it lets you draw efficiently with plastic. You can enable plastic to take different shape with your creativity. Another good thing is that you can use it on almost any kind of surface.

You can make different color to make things more realistic and attractive. If I talk about traditional pen or pencil, then it lets me draw in 3 dimensions only.

But with the help of a 3d pen, you can draw and make things in 3 dimensions as well. It gives a realistic or live feeling to your artwork and 3d drawing.

The second thing is that you can use it to join or fix any already published 3d pen or printer drawing. So you dont need to manufacture the whole product again and again. You just need to make that part only.

The third thing is that it can be useful for you in your presentation.I hope you agree with me when I tell you that your presentation or proposal will look damn attractive and powerful if you do with a 3d physical object.

Although 3d printing technology is a new concept in the market, the market has a good competition for it. You will find hundreds of choices for a single type.

These are mainly of two types viz. Plastic pen and ink pen. Both are good pens depending on the circumstances.

This type of 3d pen uses plasticfilamentas an ink to it. These 3d pens are easier for testing compares to ink 3d pens.  If you are familiar with the hot glue gun then you will find this type similar to the glue gun. By using this pen, you can draw on any surface and in the air. It really helps you to create a real-time 3d object. All you need is a real creative skill. This will unleash all your hidden potential.

In this type, plastic needs to be melt. This sometimes creates the temperature problem while using. But with the ink types, there is no such problem. These kind of pens are best suitable for young people especially kids. If your kids or younger loves to use 3d technology, Then you should look for these kinds of 3d pens for them.

I want to make you clear that 3d pen is nowhere related to a3d printer. Although there is a similarity, we cannot treat these two things as one.

In a 3d printer, software guides towards making 3-dimensional objects and in the case of a 3d pen we guide it by our hand.

Plastic FilamentsConcept Behind 3d PenAs I told you earlier, these pens use plastic or lead for its inking purpose. First of all, insert the plastic filament at the one end. In these pens, there is technology which instantly heats up the plastic material and liquidity it enough to take any shape.

Furthermore, it also makes sure that the liquid plastic gets cooled immediately (in a couple of seconds) so that it can hold the form you have functioned it into.

the 3d pen works on almost all the surfaces. So, you will not face any difficulty whether you are inside an open room or in a closed room.

Well, dont be too shocked because we have watched amazing technology in the earlier too. Like theglue gun, which operates on the same concept.

The 3d pen has the different variant and comes with the different color option.

If I talk about plastic filament and design then there are lots of models available in the market. New models are having different look than the old 3d printing pen models. Especially lix 3d printing has revolutionized the look of 3d printing pens. And if we talk about 3Doodler then it used plastic filamentABSandPLA. You can know more about the differencehere. This makes 3Doodler to work in the open air as well.

Main Motto behind 3d printing pensThere was only one motto behind all this technology i.e. to efficiently make 3d Objects in real time.

Although 3d printing printers have sometimes on the market now but if I talk about 3d printing pen then they dont have a long history. There are a lot of things that can be possible with these pens. Like it can be used as a welding of plastic.

But most of its manufacture doesnt list this on their sites. The reason is pretty simple, they have not done testing with it. Or in another word, I can say that things are not optimized to keep the welding work in mind.

Lix was the first project who started funding before the actual production on Kickstarter site. 3Doodler has also given notable contribution in printing pen world. Being the first 3d printing printer in the world, it has done its full effort to bring 3d printing technology in manual control. There are many other projects going on in this sector. One of such is Lix tiny project which is in the construction mode from the years now.

Till now I can see only 2 notable improvements in the 3d printing pen world. One is the first one, plastic filament and other is a cool ink pen. These are only two but seeing such shortage of
